If you had told me before I started this whole journey that after the highs of a new product launch and with forward momentum in full swing, that I would be derailed by a heatwave. Again.
This week was supposed to be about sampling new fragrances and continued testing of new products, but with windows wide open, an oppressive humidity and no sleep things came to an abrupt halt.
The problem with a natural wax mix like Rapeseed and Coconut is that if the temperature is too high, the wax starts to crystalise whilst in the early stage of curing and can affect the wax's capacity to mix with the fragrance oil. They also can look a little unhappy too. There was only one thing for it... admin 🤦♀️
And that's when the magic happened. Just one simple task after another and I soon found myself 'ahead' for the first time in months. Now I knew what it realistically took to start a business, I had a much better idea how to run one and what needed doing on a daily basis to keep my sanity.
So, now I sit here on Sunday evening, waiting for the first rain in weeks to arrive within the next 24 hours and I already have my Cashmere Glow in the burner ready to light when it's cool enough. After such an up and down week, I need some comfort and this fragrance is perfect for the embrace I need.
